Lianhua Qingwen Capsules clear pestilential toxins, ventilate the lungs, and purge heat. They are used for the treatment of influenza belonging to the syndrome of heat-toxin invading the lungs.

Indications / Symptoms:
Fever or high fever, aversion to cold, muscle aches, nasal congestion and runny nose, cough, headache, dry throat and sore throat, reddish tongue, yellow or yellow-greasy tongue coating, etc.

COVID-19–Related Information

  • February 2020: Lianhua Qingwen Capsules (Granules) were included in the Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia (Trial Version 6) issued by the National Health Commission of China.

  • April 2020: According to a supplemental drug approval issued by the National Medical Products Administration, Lianhua Qingwen Capsules (Granules) produced by Yiling Pharmaceutical were approved for use in treating fever, cough, and fatigue caused by mild and moderate COVID-19, with a treatment course of 7–10 days.

  • September 21, 2020: Lianhua Qingwen Capsules received registration approval for Chinese patent medicines in Mauritius and have obtained marketing authorization in 13 countries overseas.

Ingredients
Forsythia Fruit (Lian Qiao), Honeysuckle Flower (Jin Yin Hua), Honey-fried Ephedra (Zhi Ma Huang), Fried Bitter Apricot Kernel (Chao Ku Xing Ren), Gypsum (Shi Gao), Isatis Root (Ban Lan Gen), Dryopteris Rhizome (Mian Ma Guan Zhong), Houttuynia Herb (Yu Xing Cao), Patchouli Herb (Guang Huo Xiang), Rhubarb (Da Huang), Rhodiola Root (Hong Jing Tian), Menthol (Bo He Nao), Licorice (Gan Cao).
Excipient: Starch.

Description
This product is a capsule containing brownish-yellow to yellow-brown granules and powder. It has a mild fragrance and a slightly bitter taste.

Functions and Indications
Clears pestilential toxins, ventilates the lungs, and purges heat.
Used for influenza of the heat-toxin invading the lungs type, with symptoms such as fever or high fever, aversion to cold, muscle aches, nasal congestion and runny nose, cough, headache, dry throat and sore throat, reddish tongue, and yellow or yellow-greasy tongue coating.

Specification
0.35 g per capsule; 24 capsules per box.

Administration and Dosage
Oral administration.
4 capsules per dose, 3 times daily.

Precautions

  1. Avoid smoking, alcohol, and spicy, raw, cold, or greasy foods.

  2. Do not take concurrently with tonic (nourishing) traditional Chinese medicines during treatment.

  3. Not suitable for wind-cold type common cold.

  4. Use with caution in patients with hypertension or heart disease. Patients with severe chronic diseases such as liver disease, diabetes, or kidney disease should use under a physician’s guidance.

  5. Children, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, the elderly and frail, and those with spleen deficiency and loose stools should use under a physician’s guidance.

  6. Patients with a body temperature exceeding 38.5°C should seek medical attention.

  7. Take strictly according to the recommended dosage; this product is not intended for long-term use.

  8. If symptoms do not improve after 3 days of use, seek medical attention.

  9. Contraindicated in patients allergic to this product; use with caution in those with allergic constitution.

  10. Do not use if the appearance of the product has changed.

  11. Children must use under adult supervision.

  12. Keep out of reach of children.

  13. If using other medications, consult a physician or pharmacist before use.

  14. Athletes should use with caution.

  15. After opening the moisture-proof sachet, protect the product from moisture.

 

 

        连花清瘟胶囊，清瘟解毒，宣肺泄热。用于治疗流行性感冒属热毒袭肺证，

        症见：发热或高热，恶寒，肌肉酸痛，鼻塞流涕，咳嗽，头痛，咽干咽痛，舌偏红，苔黄或黄腻等。

        2020年2月，连花清瘟胶囊（颗粒）被列入国家卫生健康委《新型冠状病毒肺炎诊疗方案（试行第六版）》。

        2020年4月，国家药监局下发的《药品补充申请批件》显示，以岭药业生产的连花清瘟胶囊（颗粒）被批准可用于新冠病毒性肺炎轻型、普通型引起的发热、咳嗽、乏力，疗程为7至10天。


        2020年9月21日，连花清瘟胶囊获得毛里求斯中成药注册批文，已在海外13国获得上市许可。

 

成份
连翘、金银花、炙麻黄、炒苦杏仁、石膏、板蓝根、绵马贯众、鱼腥草、广藿香、大黄、红景天、薄荷脑、甘草。辅料为：淀粉。

性状
本品为胶囊剂，内容物为棕黄色至黄褐色颗粒和粉末，气微香，味微苦。

功能主治
清瘟解毒，宣肺泄热。用于治疗流行性感冒属热毒袭肺证，症见：发热或高热，恶寒，肌肉酸痛，鼻塞流涕，咳嗽，头痛，咽干咽痛，舌偏红，苔黄或黄腻等。

规格
每粒装0.35克。每盒24粒

用法用量
口服。一次4粒，一日3次。

不良反应

禁忌
尚不明确。

注意事项
1.忌烟、酒及辛辣、生冷、油腻食物。
2.不宜在服药期间同时服用滋补性中药。
3.风寒感冒者不适用。
4.高血压、心脏病患者慎用。有肝病、糖尿病、肾病等慢性病严重者应在医师指导下服用。
5.儿童、孕妇、哺乳期妇女、年老体弱及脾虚便溏者应在医师指导下服用。
6.发热体温超过38.5℃的患者，应去医院就诊。
7.严格按用法用量服用，本品不宜长期服用。
8.服药3天症状无缓解，应去医院就诊。
9.对本品过敏者禁用，过敏体质者慎用。
10.本品性状发生改变时禁止使用。
11.儿童必须在成人监护下使用。
12.请将本品放在儿童不能接触的地方。
13.如正在使用其他药品，使用本品前请咨询医师或药师。
14.运动员慎用。
15.打开防潮袋后，请注意防潮。
